NCR runs the everyday transactions that make peoples lives easier. They have a wide variety of products and services that you have probably used at some point. The team I am working with creates software solutions for remote deposit capture.
Goals
To become a better programmer by:
-Developing fixes for bugs found in software.
-Developing new software.
-Assisting in reviewing more experienced developers code so I can learn best practices.
-Having more experienced developers review my code to get feedback on how I can improve.
To become more efficient and effective at finding and fixing problems in software by:
-Practicing reproducing and finding the cause of issues.
-Fixing the issues in a timely manner.
To learn more about the different development tools used at NCR by:
-Practicing using the tools (maven, GlassFish, MyEclipse, SVN) effectively when developing software
-Asking questions when I am unsure how a tools is supposed to be used
